Track & Cross Country Practice Information

Running practices are held unless it is raining, and a light sprinkle is not grounds for canceling. We expect you to arrive at practice ready to work and learn. Be at practice on time and ready to go at the start time so that you can participate in the initial warmup and stretching period. Your ride home should be punctual for pickup at the conclusion of practice. Practice is structured as follows:

  • Warm Up & Stretching
  • Events/Conditioning Training
  • Clean Up & Put Away Equipment

Schedule

Practice begins on August 31, 2017. Saturday practice is mandatory for all members.

Monday through Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

What to Wear & Bring

Come dressed in appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (e.g., a lightweight running shirt and shorts for warmer conditions, a jacket and/or sweatpants for cooler and wet conditions). We encourage you to label all of your clothing.

You must wear appropriate running shoes at practice. No street shoes or skate shoes are allowed. Only purchase spikes on the approval of your coach. If your coach approves spikes, bring them to practice with you, but do not wear them to the track. Water bottles are mandatory for each practice.
